Pie Chart           WHAT IT IS...
Relay for Life is an 18-hour team relay event to raise funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention in the community. It is an 18-hour celebration of life honoring cancer survivors. While the relay is going on, a community party atmosphere is created by team members camping out, enjoying entertainment, food, games, and camaraderie.

PARTICIPANTS:
Teams of 12 -15 people from corporations, hospitals, civic groups, churches, and families take turns in the relay. Team members take turns walking or running around the track throughout the entirety of the event. Teams pledge to have one team member on the track at all times.

INCENTIVE PRIZES:
This is a donations event. Each team member is asked to raise a minimum of $100 or more from donors before the event. Each registered team member will receive a Relay for Life T-shirt. Incentive prizes are awarded to those who raise $200 or more.

TEAM CHALLENGE:
Each team member is asked to raise $100 or more.

WHY WE DO IT:
Cancer touches everyone in some way. This is an opportunity for the entire community to get involved. Today, one out of two patients diagnosed with cancer survives. This is tremendous progress and this event proclaims that CANCER CAN AND WILL BE BEATEN!
